What a "beef-i-full" day
Lillys new favorite word to say is "beef-i-full" instead of beautiful. And she says it ALL the time it makes me laugh my head off every time. Today we had a great day of family fun. Our kids are getting old enough that it is really fun to go DO stuff together. We went to a birthday party for Lillys friend and we all had fun. It was so great to see Lilly really interacting with all of the kids and getting so into all of the activities. Grant and I kept looking at eachother today saying wow its fun to have kids. Liam has been a complete handfull lately. The other day I couldn't find him and he had crawled into the dryer. Boy was he pleased with himself when I finally found him. He also crawled out of the bathtub the other day when I had my back turned for seriously 10 secounds. I turned around to see his naked little body flopping onto the tile. He didn't even cry because he had lowered himelf down headfirst with his arms slowly and the just kinda rolled. Tonight Grant put together the trampoline over at his parents house. And Lilly was so happy she didn't know what to do with herself. She followed him around everywhere trying to "help" him put it up. The whole time saying things like "dad you are so awesome for doing this" or "dad your're the best in the west". He ate it all up of course and when we had to get her off the tramp to go home she was not happy.

So glad to be at home
Today I feel lucky to be a stay at home mom. I took the kids to story time at the library this morning. The teacher was singing with the kids and Lilly was off particiapting and playing with the other kids. Liam was crawling on the blocks accross the room. And I was was sitting against the wall watching them thinking to myself they might like a daycare because they were having a blast with all the kids, toys, and teacher entertaining. Pretty soon story time started and Lil went and sat in the story time circle. Halfway through the story when all the kids were quiet she stood up and said "Mom where are you"? She ran over to me gave me a little hug and ran back to the circle to hear the rest of the story. It was such a normal everyday moment but it made me so happy that when she needed me I was right there. Then we went to lunch together and home for naps. Such a normal day but so wounderful. I know I make my kids happy (most of the time anyway) and I never have to miss a moment with them. So today I am very happy to be stay at home mom. I'll come read this one day when I'm having one of those this is the hardest job immaginable kind of days and remember it's all worth it for the small moments of great joy that we experience together everyday.

So I had a bad day
Yesterday was a BAD day. It was Sunday and the day started with the usual effort of getting to church followed by another hour (we left after an hour) of woundering why did I even try to come today? Then Grant and I got in a fight the normal I do more than you do type of fight. And OF COURSE it was totally his fault (hehehehe). As much as I know that as a mom it's pointless to go around keeping score (example: I never get to sleep in, or I got up with Lilly 6 of the last seven times ect. ect.) I still can't help myself sometimes. I am still mad but today I woke up and everything seemed a lot better. The sun was shining. I got enough sleep. We went to the library story time and the kids both loved it. Even Liam did the arm motions for if you happy and you know it shout horray. So I guess I am saying that I am happy for new days. Some days you just have to hold your breath and wait for the horrible day to be over so a new day can start and hopefully bring some happiness.
